# Pro Customers

> Build and sell bundles of software and services for specialist industries and markets.

"Pro" customers are organizations with specialist needs, such as online stores, publishers, media channels, development teams, or a particular profession. A general office suite isn't enough for them. They need a set of applications chosen and connected for the way their industry works, plus services that help them get value from it.

Federated Core Platform includes bundles (collections of open source SaaS and services) designed for markets like these. These bundles often save a pro customer organization tens of thousands of dollars a year.

## Bundles available today

- **[Federated Commerce](https://documentation.federated.computer/platform/software-catalog/federated-commerce/)** for businesses selling goods online. It is built on WordPress and WooCommerce, with additional tools and Federated's hardened add-ons.
- **[Federated Omnimedia](https://documentation.federated.computer/platform/software-catalog/federated-omnimedia/)** for publishers, video and podcast channels, and other large digital communities. It adds publishing, a community forum, podcasting and video, an ad server, and premium (subscriber-only) content to Federated Commerce.
- **[Federated DevOps](https://documentation.federated.computer/platform/software-catalog/federated-devops/)** for development teams. It turns a plain virtual machine into a managed development environment with sign-in, access control, a private network, and monitoring.

To offer one of these to your customers, email info@federated.computer.

## Two ways to serve pro customers

### Build a solution from the catalog

Use Federated Core Platform and the [software catalog](https://documentation.federated.computer/platform/software-catalog/software-catalog/) as building blocks. Choose the applications a customer needs, configure them for their workflow, and deliver the whole as a single solution. This works well for one-off projects and for customers whose needs are close to an existing bundle.

### Create a new bundle

Many markets aren't served yet. If you know an industry well, you can design a bundle of software and services for it. The bundle doesn't have to come from Federated Computer. Partners can design and deliver their own and sell them through any channel, including other operators, networks, and platforms that offer Federated Core Platform.

Because the software is open source, a new bundle can start from proven applications instead of being built from scratch.

## Designing a bundle

A useful bundle usually combines three things:

1. **Applications.** The core tools the customer uses every day, chosen from the catalog. If something is missing, Federated Computer can [add an application to Federated Core](https://documentation.federated.computer/platform/services/) and connect it to shared sign-in, storage, monitoring, and updates.
2. **Configuration.** Settings, templates, and connections between applications that match how the industry works, so the customer starts with a working setup instead of a blank one.
3. **Services.** Onboarding, training, content migration, or ongoing professional help, delivered by you, by Federated Computer, or both.

Federated Computer has built solutions this way for medical, entertainment, publishing, and other industries, and can help you plan yours. If you have the idea but not the team to build it, Federated Computer can [build the solution for you](https://documentation.federated.computer/platform/services/).

## Next steps

Email info@federated.computer with the market you have in mind and the problems your customers need solved. The team will help you work out which applications to use, what's needed beyond the current catalog, and how to bring it to market.
